          DUNLOP REWARDS EMPLOYEES WITH AWARDS

It was a day of applause and fun when Dunlop Nigeria Plc, the only local tyre manufacturer in Nigeria, rolled out drums recently to honour deserving members of its workforce.


The highlight of the occasion was the investiture of Mr. Adeniyi Adewole of Manufacturing Division as the CEO’s Team Leader of the Year, having led the Car Radial Waste Team to clinch the CEO’s Team of the Year Award. Furthermore, Mr. Razaq Yekini of Corporate Division won the CEO’s Man of the Year Award.

Likewise, Messrs Titus Adegoke, Godwin Orji and Victor Bassey won various Divisional Merit Awards respectively. All awardees were handsomely rewarded with both cash and Dunlop shares.

Similarly, eighty-nine (89) staff received various awards for Long Service, having spent several years of their working career for the Company, amongst who were the Group Managing Director, Mr. Mohammed Yinusa and Mr. Emmanuel Bassey, Managing Director, Pamol Nigeria Limited, a subsidiary of Dunlop Nigeria Group.

In his welcome address, the Group Managing Director of Dunlop Nigeria Plc, Mohammed Yinusa showered encomium on all members of staff, and more importantly, the Award recipients for their dedication despite the difficulties and challenges faced in 2007.

The Group Managing Director affirmed that the employees of the Company remain its most valued asset. He therefore assured the staff of Management’s total commitment to issues of motivation and welfare, particularly for those with exemplary performance.

Yinusa charged the Staff to become more value-driven and result-oriented in order to ensure return of the Company to sustained profitability. According to him, “we must ensure that all shareholders get adequate returns on their investments”
